| The theme for the 2023 conference is “Co-Creating Real-World Solutions: Science, Policy and Practice to Prevent Injury and Violence.”
|
|
|
| The 2023 conference will focus on the translation of research into real-world settings. The convening will explore strategies for the co-design of research questions and effective approaches to bridge research, policy and practice. The theme will focus on sharing the latest research findings as well as how these findings are moving into action through partnerships, communication and non-traditional methods of dissemination. Featuring fresh perspectives from thought leaders, advocates and change agents, this conference aims to share innovations, re-energize attendees and seed new connections to accelerate progress in safety science.

SAVIR is requiring all attendees & speakers to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and will be following the most current CDC recommendations for gatherings
|
| SAVIR is requiring conference attendees to be up to date with their COVID-19 vaccination against the SARS-Cov-2 virus as defined by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention.
|
| Up to date is defined as a completed full primary series (two shots of the Pfizer and Moderna COVID vaccine or one shot of the Johnson and Johnson product; or a comparably approved vaccine if you are an international attendee) plus at least one booster. You will be required to show proof of vaccination during event check-in. By registering for the event, you agree to be fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus by the meeting. Attendees can show proof of vaccination with:

| • An official CDC vaccination card and government-issued ID. A copy or photo of the vaccination card is acceptable.
|
| • A Digital Vaccine Card via the CLEAR app (not the full health pass).
|
|
|
| • All SAVIR 2023 in-person attendees, exhibitors, speakers, staff and volunteers will be required to wear masks at the conference, except when presenting. We will share more updates on the meeting in coming months and reserve the right to modify these guidelines according to changes to the pandemic.

| Verifying your Vaccination Status:
|
|
|
| 1. Show an official CDC vaccination card and government-issued ID. A copy or photo of the vaccination card is acceptable.
|
|
|
| 2. Show an electronic vaccination card via the CLEAR app. If you choose this method, you only need to set up a Digital Vaccine Card, not the full Health Pass. Instructions for downloading the app on iOS or Android can be found on the SAVIR 2023 Conference webpage.
|
|
|
| Upon arrival at Hilton Garden Inn Denver Union Station, attendees will show their COVID-19 vaccination status at the conference registration table and receive an identification sticker for their meeting badge. This sticker must be on your badge to access meeting activities.
|
|
|
| There will be no exceptions to this vaccination policy. Please bring facial masks, as this is required for all conference proceedings.
|
|
|
| We are committed to doing everything in our power to provide the safest in-person environment and experience. We will provide appropriate physical distancing in meeting rooms and hand sanitizer throughout the meeting venue.
|
|
|
| We will continue to follow the science and monitor federal, state, and local guidelines and adjust our policies as needed to ensure a safe and comfortable meeting for all attendees.
|
|
|
