Community Access to Child Health (CATCH) Call for Proposals

Deadline: January 31, 2019 @ 3 pm CST

The Council on Injury, Violence and Poison Prevention (COIVPP) is partnering with CATCH to sponsor two projects. COIVPP aims to reduce the number of injuries, whether intentional or unintentional, to infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. COIVPP believe injuries to children can and should be prevented and pediatricians play an important role in helping families, youth, and their communities optimize safety. COIVPP encourages trainees to actively engage in injury prevention efforts in their community and clinical practice and will sponsor projects that address leading causes of morbidity and mortality due to injury.

The COIVPP is sponsoring two $2000 grants for resident-led projects addressing the leading causes of morbidity and mortality due to injury. Proposals will be accepted through January 31, 2019, and recipients will be notified by May 2019 for projects starting by July 1.

A webinar will be offered on December 17 at 12:00 pm central and 8:00 pm central with helpful guidance on writing a strong proposal. You can join by using this link:
