Christen Rexing, PhD, MPH
Dr. Christen Rexing’s research focuses on health policy development, adoption, and evaluation, particularly at the state and federal levels. Her primary interest area is firearm injury prevention through gun safety policies; however, she also has extensive experience in tobacco control and unintentional overdosing.
In addition to her teaching and research, Dr. Rexing is an advocate at local, state, and national-levels for evidence-based policy solutions. She enjoys engaging students in these efforts and incorporates these experiences into her teaching. She serves as the co-chair of Advocacy & Policy Committee for the Society for Advancement of Injury and Violence Research (SAVIR) and is a member of the Injury and Violence Prevention Network.
