Rebecca Naumann, PhD

Dr. Becky Naumann is an Associate Professor of Epidemiology at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health and Core Faculty at the UNC Injury Prevention Research Center. Dr. Naumann is a subject matter expert in applying systems science and public health methods and approaches to transportation safety and overdose prevention research and practice. Prior to joining UNC, Dr. Naumann previously spent seven years as an epidemiologist on the Transportation Safety Team at the National Center for Injury Prevention and Control in the CDC. She has more than 70 peer-reviewed publications in public health and injury prevention and holds a Master of Science in Public Health degree from Emory University and a doctorate degree in Epidemiology with a focus in Injury Epidemiology from UNC’s Gillings School of Global Public Health.
