Student Representative

Ms. Amelia Noor-Oshiro is a PhD Candidate, Social & Behavioral Sciences, Department of Health, Behavior, and Society,  Bloomberg School of Public Health, Johns Hopkins University who focuses on equity-driven violence prevention research to promote life and prevent suicide from a community-led framework. Her doctoral training is funded by the National Institute for Minority Health & Health Disparities (NIMHD). I was able to secure this by advancing arguments on intersectional stigma, as demonstrated by the lived experience of many U.S. Muslims.

She holds her MPH from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health with certification in Social Determinants of Health.
