Renee M. Johnson, PhD, MPH is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mental Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Her research addresses the health of adolescents and emerging adults, with a focus on substance use and violence. She has contributed to the field of injury prevention and control through research on firearm injury, home safety, suicide prevention, and youth violence.

Dr. Johnson is core faculty with the Johns Hopkins Center for Injury Research & Policy, and holds a PhD from the University of North Carolina Gillings School of Global Public Health
